The first weekend trip we went on was to Taormina, which was fairly close to where we were, about a 30 minute drive. We went to the Naxos Museum, which is where all the artifacts from previous work on our site are displayed. We got a tour from the Italian archaeologist that is one of the head directors of our dig, who actually did the previous work on our site. He also took us to a very tasty past ... read more
