After a bumpy flight across the Australian Outback, we made it to Cairns airport at the disgraceful hour of 4:30am. Of course, being backpackers and all, we opted not to book a room for the rest of the night and instead, sit outside the hostel for 6 hours; we decided that it might have been a mistake after the first 20 minutes of the bitterly cold, butt-numbing concrete.
