Elk!

The park was full of herds of elk. We saw a few by the road on the way in and were surprised at how big they were. Our campsite overlooked a field absolutely teeming with elk. The most common animal we saw our whole stay.

Rocky Mountain National Park

With all of our spare time out here, we decided to spend some time camping in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. The park is about 45 minutes from Boulder, but it feels so much more remote.
