The Students’ Education and Cultural Movement of Ladakh (SECMOL) has worked for reforms in the education system in Ladakh since the 1990s. Ladakhi culture in the education curriculum prior to SECMOL’s agitation was, if not actively discouraged, institutionally neglected.
