Our departure from Tokyo and arrival in Kyoto by 'Shinkansen' - the Bullet Train was amazing - more akin to travelling by aeroplane than a train. The (relatively) new train station is a fabulous structure and prepared us well for what we were to see in this beautiful city. It is now four years since we arrived in Australia and it continues to feel like we are on a very long holiday! Since moving over here we have opened doors to new friendships, career moves, family visits and new opportunities it has been a roller coaster of a journey but one we embrace and work towards making it even more successful. We have also managed to visit the UK on a number of visits to see family and friends and have also loved having visitors who have stayed with us whilst holidaying here and sharing with them some of the many lovely places we have discovered in and around Brisbane... full info
