After circling 3 times to get the right wind direction (the runway is short), we landed in Ulaan Baatar, the capital. Within 2 hours of checking into a hostel, the arrangements were finished for a 9 day trip, 7 days on the Gobi desert and 2 days in the central hills of Mongolia.
