Mosaic from Pompei

This mosaic is very special. It is a mosaic depicting the Battle of Issus between Alexander the Great and the Persian King Darius. It, along with many other mosaics, were moved from the archaeology sites into the museum here. This one made up the floor of the one of the rooms in the House of the Faun in Pompei. It is also important in that it depicts Alexander's face.
