We got a bus from Hong Kong to Guangzhou in China - luckily no problems with our visa and straight through. We were dropped near a metro station and followed directions to get to our hostel. After checking in we went to Shamian Island which is a former colonial island of France and England. It was very quaint and we had a nice dinner and paid 3 times too much for a can of Sprite!!
