We arrived in Venice on Wednesday afternoon, and it really was love at first sight. It is such a pretty city, all tiny winding footpaths and canals, little hidden away campos (squares), window boxes spilling over with spring flowers, gondolas gliding up and down, glossy little shops and dusty houses.
