The railings of the three bridges.

Since only the Emperor was allowed to use dragons as his symbol, Princes used clouds, and lotus flowers. On the top of each post can be seen lotus blossoms. The word for "lotus" in Chinese sounds the same as longevity, so that when officials would cross these bridges, they would touch them in the hope that their careers would last.
