Minutes after my arrival into Costa Rica, I was in the back of a taxi cab, being driven alarmingly fast through the crazy, congested streets of San Jose to catch a public bus to Tamarindo (on the Northwest coast of the country) which was about to leave the terminal in 10 minutes.
