My Lodge

No permanent structures were permitted in this part of the Delta and thus, all the lodges were built as tree-houses. The paraffin lamp at the foot of the steps was the only thing to guide me in the dark but did keep some of the animals away.

This particular lodge was called Genet's Lair - because a couple of Genets played on the roof at night. Believe me, they were wearing boots!
