The girl on the left is named Tazia and she is ten years old. She is from South Africa and she was visiting her cousins in Maputo. She was the most precocious child I've ever met. After speaking with her for a while, in her cute little accent she said:
Tazia: So, basically, you are on a grand adventure?
Ed: Yes, you could say that.
Tazia: Tell me, how do you manage such a lifestyle?
