The Golden Triangle - Mekong River

Mary and Dick at the Thailand border, at the apex of the Triangle. Myanmar is on the left bank of the river and Laos is on the right. The Mekong's headwaters are in the Tibetan Himalayas and it is fed by snow melt. It meanders down to the coast and empties at the sea at the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. It is a huge river, now at its yearly low level during the dry season.
