Hola Chicas y Chicos, Villa O'Higgins, het eindpunt van de Carretera Austral ("Zuidelijke Snelweg", alhoewel je een grindweg moeilijk een snelweg kunt noemen...), 1250 km ten zuiden van Puerto Montt. De grens met Argentina, meren en de zuidelijke ijskap verhinderen een verdere doorgang naar het Zuiden van Chili via de "weg"... Vanuit dit prachtig gelegen dorpje, steken we morgen met een bootje ... read more

We have a fetish for Patagonia and the Arctic. We’ve been on long-time trekking/hiking/backpacking trips into Patagonia (7 months in total), been on multiple (winter) trips to northern Scandinavia, hiked for 2 months in the Canadian Rockies and Alaska, explored some of the largest glaciers in the Karakorum mountains of Pakistan, climbed some 5000′ers and 6000′ers in the Central Andes of Peru and Bolivia, and recently lost ourselves on a wild trek on the eastern coast of Greenland…
