Alex found it all a little tiring - it was hard to point out that though I could move her, I couldn't move the kayak without the paddle!

I'm getting a slating for being a 'pomme' out here at the moment - I wish our cricketers would improve pretty rapidly! They're playing a one day international at Eden Park tomorrow, which hopefully I'll go to but the weather forecast isn't great and the friends that I'd go with would have to get off work. Hey there and thanks for visiting my site. It should be a good way of keeping in contact with me, and i'll update it as often as possible so that you can see what I've been up to! I'm heading off on my gap year travels on the 27th January for around five and a half months and I'm getting very excited! I've chosen not to do too many countries so I'm concentrating most of my time in New Zealand before heading to Australia, followed by Malaysia and Thailand.
