Exploring Snofru's Red Pyramid

The Red Pyramid is one of the very few Egyptian pyramids to which the general public can gain unregulated interior access. The entrance passage is 62m and inclined downwards at an angle of around 27°. The passage itself measures only approximately 90cm in height. At its end is a short corridor (shown in the photo) leading to the first chamber which rises to a height of 12m.
