Pulau Sipadan--some say the best dive site in the world. The island rises 2,000 feet vertically out of the floor of the Celebes Sea. Sinking down the dropoff is certainly a humbling experience. Common sightings are: sharks (hammerhead, leopard, reef, whale), turtles (Green and Hawksbill), massive barracuda and tuna schools, diverse corals, and countless other strange fish, eels and crustaceans ... read more
