Monday, September 24th, 2007. Umbazooksus Stream, Maine. Darrin’s next section of Umbazooksus Stream was without water, so he began his day by portaging to Umbazooksus Lake. NFCT Journey
Darrin L. Kimbler solo thru-paddled the 740-mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT), an historic water trail through the forests of New York, Vermont, Quebec, New Hampshire, and Maine. His journey was completed over 50 days, from August 12 - October 1, 2007. The water trail was officially established in September 2006; and Darrin was one of the first fifteen people to complete a thru-paddle.
