Yippee! We had a lie in this morning; the bus didn’t leave till 10am….Woohoo! Then it was off to Taupo. En route we passed Tongariro National Park, in it Mount Ngauruke (Na-ru-hoe-e), which was Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings. Then a brief stop at Huka Falls, quite spectacular 11 metres high and formed by an earthquake. We arrived in Taupe early afternoon to spectacular views of the lake. ... read more

Well this is the bit where I am supposed to tell you about myself so here goes.....I'm 29 year old, who up until 3 weeks ago was traveling the world with her boyfriend, but then life as it is, always throws the unexpected at you and hey presto I'm now travelling alone. But hey life's to short to dwell on the past, so here I am single, 29 and about to emabark on the biggest adventure of my life. 4.5 mths of no work, plenty of sun, sea, snow and whatever this world decides to throw at me!!... full info
