Amazon Basin--Capyberra
Largest rodent in the world, they're about 3 ft. tall. But they're really slow and sweet, they reminded us of a creature from a Miyazaki film.

Over 4 weeks we barnstormed the Nasca mystery lines; strolled through charming cities and monasteries; spotted parrots, crocodiles & leopards in the Amazon; sailed to the floating, reed villages of Lake Titicaca; and explored the sacred ruins of Machu Picchu. We´re off on another round-the-world trip. We´re spending 6 months this time visiting Peru, Buenos Aires, south Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Germany, India, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. Yeah, the route doesn't make much sense, but hey, those were the countries that we had to see!
We'll be back April '06.
