A Typical Meal
Here we were presented with a typical meal that is eaten in this area in the highlands. Hand made tortillas were made here as well as the local alcohol drink, posh. Unfortunately, I was still recovering so I could not enjoy, but Carlos definitely enjoyed for the both of us.

After recovering as much as I could, we finally went on the tour we had booked days before. They tour agency was very understanding in letting us postpone due to my illness. This tour was to the local villages of San Juan Chamula and San Lorenzo Zinacantan, both part of the Tzotzil group. Chamula is approx. 10km from San Cristobal and Zinacantan is approx. 11km. SOME OF THE BLOG HAS BEEN DELETED DUE TO AN ERROR WITH THE WEBSITE. THERE ARE MANY PHOTOS THAT DON"T HAVE CAPTIONS ANYMORE EITHER.
Carlos is returning home to Mexico for the next four months. Coming home to spend time with family is the most important thing to Carlos. With his incredibly large family, 31 aunts and uncles, it is the most important thing to him.
Amber most recently resigned her postion as a Ceritifed Player Agent to live and travel in Mexico for the next four months as well. She is going to take this time to get to know Carlos' family and of course, continue workin... full info
