Let me explain how the outskirts of Tashkent are laid out. At least in my direction. I am about 20 minutes out side of Tashkent, center. So even though what I describe sounds very village like (and that it is) keep in mind that, really, I haven't seen anything yet. The rural villages are miles and miles away from the next village over or closest town. But now, I'm in a suburb. I live in a village ... read more

Comment on Language Class!
Who am I. Well, I am a 25 year old female, from Frederick, Maryland, and have put in my notice at the design firm I've been working at since graduation. Why? Because I am about to embark on what is sure to be my biggest adventure yet. I have joined the Peace Corps and am going to be living as the locals do in Uzbekistan for the next two years. So really, who I am is a question I am trying to answer myself.
