Last friday we packed up the new hot rod Toyota Station wagon to ditch work and take a road trip with Gordon and a visiting friend named Billy. The day was spent staring down sheep, falling out of an airplane at 12,000 feet over Lake Taupo, soaking my bones in a natural hotspring, swimming down the Waikato River to our car, and sleeping on the dirt in a national park.
