Symbol of Heredia
Look closely at the windows on this tower. You may be able to see that they are wider on the outside than on the inside, making it easier to shoot in than to shoot out of this would-be fortress. Oops. The motif of this tower is repeated everywhere -- still not sure if this is done out of pride or humor.

So after traveling around as much of the country as we could stand for a month (mid-November to mid-December) while toting our two high-maintenance pieces of luggage, we settled back in Heredia.
