This is the biggest church in Uruguay and it is a huge memorial to a bunch of really important people in Uruguayan history. The Catholic church played a big role in bringing education and freedom to Uruguay and this church is very much evidence of that.
Salto & Montevideo June 14th 2007 We went to Salto, Uruguay next which was a really small city. We took a night bus there only it was the most random trip ever. We took a bus to the middle of nowhere Argentina and had cabs waiting on the side of the road for us. The cabs then drove us to Salto and over the border. It was nice in Salto but fairly boring.
