Independence Square

This was really close to our hotel and it is one of the main squares in Montevideo. The old Spanish citadel used to be in this square but it was demolished and this monument was constructed. Under the statue is the remians of the founder or Uruguain independence.
Salto & Montevideo

We went to Salto, Uruguay next which was a really small city. We took a night bus there only it was the most random trip ever. We took a bus to the middle of nowhere Argentina and had cabs waiting on the side of the road for us. The cabs then drove us to Salto and over the border. It was nice in Salto but fairly boring.
