It has been a pretty unexceptional fortnight. The flight to Sri Lanka was unusually empty and security in Colombo in the new age of the flying Tigers (of the Tamil variety) was even higher than usual. We were stopped at several checkpoints before we got clear of Colombo. In Galle things are of course much as they were six weeks ago, the only change being that we are now plagued by frequent and lo ... read more
