Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will fish out this lake, the next lake and soon the ocean. (These boys were keeping even the small fish you see here and, shockingly, they simply killed the even smaller ones instead of taking the time to remove the hooks and releasing them.)

The road the Kondoa is one of the worst roads I have ever experienced. I read, in another travel blog, about a couple trying to reach Kondoa and only getting as far as Babati. I don’t blame them. Years ago I lived in Vancouver, Canada and had a regular practice of taking my Jeep deep into the mountains around BC. Hello there! Welcome to our blog.. yes, OUR blog. This started off as the ramblings of a single man roaming the planet but has become, because of fate, destiny or kismit, the story of a very lucky man and his outstanding girlfriend!
And so now we travel together.... we will endeavour to fill in some of the gaps of the last few months -- trips to Africa, Asia, America and Europe have been missed -- and keep up to date with our travels from now...
