Today was a very exciting day. We visited the Qantas Founders Museum and the Jumbo and 707. We spent the whole day learning in the museum and literally climbing in and around and all over the 747 - 200 "City of Bunbury". We went on two tours of the plane that took us from inside the cockpit to inside the tail, down into the cargo bay and computer room and out onto the wing. I think it will be the highlight of Steve's trip. We also got to explore the fully restored 707 “City of Canberra” that was and original Qantas airliner before being refitted in the 70’s to be a VIP charter plane. It was saved from the scrap heap at Southend in England in 2006 and restored before being flown from England to Longreach and parked at the Museum.
