Lori FrisardFrank and I did a six day tour with Western Xposure from Exmouth to Broome where we visited the Karinjini National Park. We met some wonderful people, saw amazing gorges, pools and jumped into every body of water that was there (7 meters being the most impressive). The following photos highlight the tour that we had:
Joffre GorgeThis is the dry season so the some waterfalls are not as lush, but the swim was great!
Termite MoundThese are abundant in the tropic areas and grow to a couple of meters high.
Knox GorgeMore reflections...the water is great to use for better pictures!
Knox GorgeLook at the difference between the top of the gorge and the people down below...awe inspiring!
Oxer LookoutThis is the meeting point for 4 gorges: Hancock, Red, Weano and Joffre.
Weano GorgeWe had to walk through the water to get into the gorge. The scarf on my head may make me look like a patient, but it was necessary...trust me!
Hancock GorgeFrank and I had such a great time together exploring Karinjini National Park and sleeping in swags under the stars.
Hancock Gorge-Spider WalkWhat a challenge! You had to walk with hands and feet up this gorge with running water below you. If you went too high (as I did) it was more difficult!
Hancock GorgeThe walk was considered Class 5 until this point where it became a 6 and we would have needed special training to go beyond it.
Hancock Gorge WaterThis must be my favorite gorge as I have many pictures of it. It was beautiful!
Dales Gorge-Fern PoolThis spot was a great place to swim early in the morning...aka our shower for the day.
Cable Beach in BroomeWe ended this part of the tour at the most famous beach in Australia and it was really beautiful!
