Esta mañana ha amanecido soleado, he tenido que esperar un rato hasta que se ha evaporado la condensacion de la tienda, y he salido a eso de las 10. Hasta Bulls todo plano y sin mayor problema, aparte de que se ha ido nublando el dia. Aqui he parado u arto en el puesto de informacion y he conseguido enterarme de 2 campings que no estan en la guia, uno a 40 km de Bulls, otro a 60 y el de Taihape a 80. Asi que perfecto, puedo decidir sobre la marcha. Desde Bulls he ido ya para el norte, eso supone ir entrando en la zona central, y por tanto, es poco a poco cuesta arriba, en algunos tramos mas duro que otros. Todo esto es zona rural, muchas vacas, muchas ovejas y unas cuantas granjas y pueblos minusculos. Ya desde la salida de Bulls ha empezado a chispear un poco, hasta llegar a Mangaweka me habian pillado un par de lluvias cortas de 5 minutos. Pero al salir de Mangaweka y subir hacia Taihape, me ha pillado lluvia fuerte durante una hora o asi, asi que he acabado mojado. Luego se ha puesto mejor pero en ningun momento ha salido el sol de nuevo. A Taihape he llegado poco antes del anochecer, me he informado en el pueblo y el camping esta a unos cuants km hacia el norte, o sea, saliendo del pueblo. Al final me quedo en un hotel que hay en el desvio de la carretera, el hotel Gretna, este pueblo tambien tiene cierto ambientillo Western, y el hotel es otro de estos edificios clasicos. Me han dado una habitacion individual muy espartana por 30NZD, o sea, totalmente dentro de presupuesto. Como hoy he hecho muchos km y no se puede cocinar en la habitacion del hotel, hoy toca hamburguesas para cenar.

This morning has dawned sunny , I had to wait a while until the condensation has evaporated from the tent, and I went out at about 10. Mostly flat to Bulls without problem, apart from that has been clouding the day. Here I stopped and got some information and I managed to find out 2 campsites that are not in the guide, one 40 km from Bulls , another at 60 and Taihape is 80km away. So perfect, I can decide on the fly. From Bulls I've gone north, that means we got into the central area, and therefore is gradually uphill, some sections harder than other. This is rural area, many cows, sheep and a few minuscule farms and villages. Ever since Bulls has begun to rain a little, reaching Mangaweka I had a couple of short showers of 5 minutes. But leaving Mangaweka and climbing towards Taihape, it was heavy rain for an hour or so, so I ended wet. Then it got better but no sun came out again. I arrived Taihape just before dark, the campsite is some km to the north, that is, out of town. At the end I stay in a hotel in the roadside, Gretna hotel, this village also has some Western feeling, and the hotel is one of these classic buildings. I was given a very basic single room for 30NZD, well within budget. Like today I have done many km and cooking in the hotel room is quite dangerous, today there is therefore burgers for dinner.
