Hoy a madrugar.
a rachas fuerte.

Today early wake up. By 5:30 I was already up at 6:30 in the Bluebridge terminal, that is the ferry that takes me to the North Island. Finally the ferry came out about 1 hour later, but I've used the free internet in the terminal. After that sailing has been a quiet in the fjords, just windy and rained at times. Gradually it has begun to wag the ferry as we approached the open sea.
Once at sea we had an hour or two (it was a long time for me) in rough seas , waves of 5-6 meters , and occasionally some very large, coming from the front. The boat, with its 125m long rose and fell like a swing at times. As half of the passage, I have been seasick. In fact I vomited three times, the first just a little bit. The second I lost the breakfast, and the third, when I thought that everything was gone, I still got some gastric juice that has burned my esophagus. A very shitty crossing. Arriving in Wellington it was raining a lot and with strong south wind gusts. I have gone through the city, I have even considered staying in the hostel and see if tomorrow is a better day. The city is not very nice, pure skyscrapers and posh shops, little personality. But I got a map of the bike paths leaving Wellington, so I decided to take what 's left of the day, it was 3 in the afternoon. As I had empty guts I have fed myself 2 packs of biscuits, one to suppress hunger and the other for the power
to give the pedals and endure the cold rain. I have therefore come out from Wellington, throgh the valley where the freeway goes north, the bike path is a disaster, poorly signposted, dashed and full of holes and curbs. Drivers around Wellington, urbanites, stressed and with murder instincts, and in a rainy day is even worse. I got this way 20km away from the city, and from there I followed Highway 1 along the coast, there is almost always bike path, but sometimes you lose it or is so bad that the shoulder is your best option. At the end of the day it has stopped raining so hard, by nightfall I reached the hostel Paraparaumu and I 've got a bed for 26NZD, it is not very cheap, but I needed to dry clothes. In addition there is a tray full of buns, breads and various pastries, th local bakery brings something of what is left in the late evening the hostel. The weather forecast looks pretty bad, it seems that in the next 3 days (at least) is going to rain, a huge rain front is entering from the southeast. The only good thing about this is that
I have strong southerly wind.
