When travelling even by campervan we have found that using backpacks is more convenient as we can squash them down and they don't take up as much room. For three weeks we are taking a 60lt pack each, first part of the trip is going to be cool so we need to take clothing for pretty much all seasons. Basically enough clothing for a week (we can wash on the road) and being able to layer clothing is a must. If I don't have to iron it then I am in heaven.....toiletries we will buy when we arrive as it is a little cheaper than here and less luggage to drag around. A laptop bag with camera, laptop, video cam and chargers is essential for us, we are photography buffs and need to be able to download pics as we go. We have an acer aspire one laptop which is the mini size, but able to do everything that our normal size one does. Recharging isn't a problem as the adaptors are the same as Aussie and we will be ale to recharge on the road as well.

Mobile phone has been a question of choice, but as I am with Vodafone I will use my account over there and hubby will pick up a prepaid card to use in his phone (he is with Optus in aus).
