Wow, can't believe it's been 11days since I last blogged, can't explain how quickly time is flying.
So last weekend was fun, the guys from work bought a crate of beer Saturday night so we got pissed for the last hour of work then had a night out and got chatted up by a customer from the shop who is from Sydney who has said I can go and stay with him while I'm there, result!
Went boarding 2 days in a row, Monday-Tuesday, and Tuesday I unfortunately took out an old board from the shop and got thrown about so much it was awful, I even fell off a cliff! Luckily for me it had some snow so I could navigate between the rocks down the cliff face on my board and came away unscathed.
Thursday I actaully did an early morning shift starting at 7.30, then my friend Mahri came to work at noon with a bottle of wine in her bag so we had an all day session at work! By the time we finished at 8pm we were hammered, there are pictures/vidoes of us dancing on the table and I got given a 12year old child tshirt to wear as a uniform, I am very happy that it actually fits me. And it beats wearing a massive green hoody and literally looking like a shapeless toad.
So since Thursday I have been out every night and am once again paying for it. Friday night was another 'sophisticated ladies night', so 14 of us went out for dinner and were complete ladettes. I fell over in a club, carried on dancing for an hour then as we left to go to another club, one of the girls shouted at me 'Charley, you have loads of glass in your leg!' Oops! So tried to pick it all out, I also have a massive bruise and carried on with the night where at the next bar, I ended up dancing on the bar while the staff went Coyote Ugly on my ass and covered me in water whilst I was on the bar. I vomited at some point and thought it would be a great idea to smoke a cigarette to get rid of the taste of vomit in my mouth, it did work but everyone that knows me knows how much I hate smoking so I hope you can understand how drunk I was. I had such a good night, but the huge knee bruise has put me out of action on the slopes for the next few days and I'm starting to look like a yeti because of all the cuts and scratches I have been unable to shave my legs. Fail.
And I broke my Kindle which I was very upset about, I slept with it under my pillow and buggered the screen, so I called my mum crying Friday morning (about midnight her time which she wasn't very happy about!) and she's been an absolute angel and has bought me another one, loaded all my books on it and is posting it out. I spend a lot of reading here, it's how I force myself to sit down and chill out so feel like my right arm has been cut off.
As I can't really board at the moment, I've spent a bit of time in STA Travel planning the Fiji and Australian legs of my trip, I'm so excited. Australia is going to involve me driving in a convertible from Sydney to Adelaide (bring on the tan and red nose!), cage diving with the Great Whites, spending Christmas on a beach in Perth putting a shrimp on the barby, New Years sleeping under the stars in the outback and then surfing/diving/sailing down the East Coast. I can't wait!
Hope all is good back home, I hear that it has been the wettest summer on record...AHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!! So pleased I'm not missing out on the freak chance that I have missed a good summer back home!
I have now officially given up on cooking here and am eating out for every meal, but in all fairness, I'm averaging 2 meals a day so money wise it's not too bad, and I'm on holiday so it's definitely allowed. I am missing home cooking though, simple things like Mum's lasagne and Dad's poached eggs on toast, but plenty of time for those when I'm back.
Please keep the emails and messages coming, missing everyone back home now I've settled a bit and not running off adrenaline.
Lots of love xxxx
