Day 10 & 11Picton & Portage

Day 10-Queen Charlotte Track Hike
Alex dragged our butts for a 23.7Km hike today through forest, desert, hills and by the end it was hell for Moe, but it was his honeymoon day so I sucked it up and lead most of the way!!! Anyway, we finished it and it was worth it, even the terrible down hills. After the hike we headed back to the Sennen House and rested our tootsies and then decided we needed to walk a little more and headed back into town for dinner. BTW, the Kiwi's idea of nachos are tortilla chips, hot tomato sauce and melted cheese. Not so good, but Alex finished them off without missing a chip. We then walked back home and watched a really old episode of Prison Break. They are about 6 weeks behind with their American shows. Total Km hiked/walked today was 27.7

Day 11-Portage
So we woke up this morning and headed back out to the same place we finished the hike at yesterday. By the way, the hike was boat access yesterday. So after we loaded up the car and got dropped at our water taxi we killed some time in town and headed to the Portage Resort for the relaxing part of the honeymoon. We did relax today in the sun and both have the burns to prove it. We hopped in the ocean/sound for a brief swim and Moe's was oggled by a creepy old man who said, "I don't mean to stare at your boobs, but I am trying to read what your bathing suit says and besides that is a good reason to stare". Wierdo!!!

Anyway, we killed time by the pool and met a nice Irish woman who informed us the St. Pat's is no longer on the 18th in Ireland cause the church's won't allow it to fall on holy week. Craziness!!! We hit dinner and are ending the evening filling you in on our trip. THis may be the last blog till we return to the states on Friday, which is Thursday to you guys!!!
