I just noticed that my last entry wasn't finished - my attention span must've wandered! Her are some pics to complete my North Island circuit...

A 2518-metre-high volcano - Mount Taranaki - one of the most symmetrical volcanic cones in the world.

On 3 February 1931, Napier was levelled by an earthquake. The town centre was destroyed and rebuilt in the popular Art Deco style of the time.

While we were in Taupo it rained and rained and rained so we had no choice but to hit the pubs!
