We drove to Wellington to catch the ferry to Picton on South Island. The views were spectacular. We managed to find a cheap campsite, only $5 if you had a beer! (Mum and Dad did!). The next day we went to the National Kiwi Centre and actaully saw a kiwi, we keep seeing signs for them on the road but have never seen any in the wild. We also went to the Jade Factory to learn about the green stone that is found here. It rained and rained all day so we drove down to Franz Joseph.
