Wellington is the Capital city and administrative capital of New Zealand despite being only NZ's second biggest city next to Auckland. It may not take the gold in size but it wipes the floor with the other cities when it comes to being the windiest and wettest. A day at sea prior to arriving in Wellington and at about 4pm a message came from the Bridge announcing a POD of Whales on the port side. Chris and Roisin rushed to their balcony fighting over the binoculars. As Roisin raised the binoculars to her eye's Chris yelled, "Over there!" pointing out to sea. The POD was some distance away and it was not possible to see any of these magnificent beasts breaking the water. Buenas y santas!!! Como le va a al gente bella que nos sigue?? Hoy es nuestro ultimo día en Papamoa recién terminamos de limpiar todo el depto!!! Porque mañana tenemos que entregarlo, fue un momento muy duro, pero ya paso!!!! Hoy no trabajamos asique anoche hicimos una semi despedida con las chicas del pais vecino!!! Y hoy nos despertamos en un hermoso día soleado, asíque decidimos ir a disfrutarlo, pasamos la tarde en la playa del monte, nos dimos el gusto y comimos pizza con mate y nos sacamos caleta, N fotos (jajaj hablamos chileno) porque Nati se compro una súper cámara profesional y se saco las ganas de usarla, además queríamos material para nuestros seguidores, ósea Uds.!! Kia Ora! That'll be Hi in Maori. There are lots of photos here by the way and they don't quite match up with the words like they normally do so just scan through the photos after (or before if you can't be bothered to read the words!!). So after dropping off our Hippie in Cairns we headed for the airport and our 2 flights to Auckland (connecting in Brisbane). As we arrived in very late (midnight) Patrick had the wonderful suggestion of staying at the airport instead of travelling into town for a short night stay. Well I did investigate this on the very useful website all about staying in airports and it suggested the observation lounge for a decent night kip. Wellington New Zealand - Day 1 -- After our road trip from Auckland to Wellington we settled at Brandon and Andrea’s in the heart of the city.. B lives at the top of Cuba street, which would be similar in comparison to Queen St Toronto- A funky eclectic mix of people and shops, the street runs down to the bay in many different directionsà Korey and I packed a bag and walked around for hours, getting our bearings, at this point we are becoming more comfortable with being abroad and are falling into a routine were we pack, travel, explore, waste money, and take in the sights!..
