Our first night in Taupo we met some people and played tabletennis for most of the night and then had a couple of games of scrabble.
The next day Kirsty went for a skydive in the morning whilst I went for a nice safe stroll around lake Taupo. Kirsty's skydive looked really cool when I watched the DVD later. She jumped from 15000 feet and looked really scared until about half way down where she seemed to be enjoying it. After this we went for a stroll to look around the town.
This day we had to get up at 4am to catch a 5:30am bus to the Tongariro crossing, one of the top ten single day walks in the world. We got dropped off at about 7am near Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom in LOTR) and then walked for 6 hours across volcano craters and near cool crater lakes. The walk was by far the best walk we have ever done.

Skydive
That skydive just looks absolutely terrifying! But it looks like you're still both having fun :)
