Hello everyone!
As you can see we've moved on since this morning, having travelled north to Ninety Mile Beach, which is fan-damn-tastic. Took about five hours to get here, so Jason's pretty bushed (it's 10.12pm here, and he's asleep on the seat beside me). I'll take him back to the Merc inna minute. We're at a new motor camp, "The Park", one of the more up scale ones this time. It's computer has a CD drive and USB port, so this entry has all the pics for the last few days for you all to enjoy.
Our first day of driving went really well, New Zealand is visually exactly as we had hoped - rolling green hills, forests that seemed not to end, white sandy beaches, and huge mountains and deep gorges. It was brilliant. The photos were hard to take as we couldn't really stop the Merc, but we've caught some on video for you all for when we come home.
Tomorrow we're off to Cape Reinga, the most northern point, where the Maori believe the spirits of the dead left this world for the afterlife. It's also where the Pacific meets the Tasman Sea, and it's
supposed to be quite a show. Then we start heading south again, this time following the north coast. We're hoping to stop off around Whangaroa Bay for some scuba diving the day after.
Right, we're off to get some sleep - hopefully we can have a more detailed post for you all in the next few days. Take care of yourselves, and love y'all!

That's a designer Star Wars tshirt, and it looks awesome, as I knew it would. Those orange suits make you look like 2 escaped convicts though, not the best look!
Great pics boys - like the impersonation of Team America on the SkayWalk.
xxxx
I cannot believe you had 20 maps and still missed your turning? Your blog is fantastic and very funny (yougurt on toast!). You both seem to be having an incredible time. Enjoy Cape Reinga and Whangaroa Bay in the coming days. As soon as I get in I switch on the computer for the next blog entry, before watching a few discs of BattleStar Galactica. Elliott - Jason seems the ideal candidate for the trans-Siberian Railway - think about it!
Keep it coming lads...
ok so been looking at the pics :) loving the boiler suits for starters, i think you could start a whole new trend back here with them :D and elliott you sooo have to take me to ninety mile beach! sounds like my cup of tea lol but i think i would rather go when you can wear shorts lol
but the most important question is...what cereal are you guys eatting? ro thinks its cocoa pops but i'm thinking they are more like choco rocks! lol please prove me right, i dont care if i'm not spot on, but ro has GOT to be wrong this time lol unless of course New Zealand has some sort of mutant cocoa pops we dont get here! I bet your reading this and hanging your head in shame that this is all i can talk about on here and not the amazing scenery lmao i'll never change! also dunno if its too technical for what you you guys can get your hands on over there but if you can find a pc with skype and a cam us girlies were thinking meeting for a webcam chat might be a bit funky! might cure a bit of the old home sickness, although once jason and deena get on there i cant guarantee we wont all be puking anyway lol (joking! :p) best leave it at that as my comment is prob longer than your blog now haha.
love you both, miss you both, jason if i walk past game one more time looking for you i swear im gonna kill myself, you'd think it would have sunk in by now but no! lol byyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeee
