Blue sky.
Sun.
Deep shadows and brilliant colour.
Being home is everything I hoped for. London is a silvery grey memory, and I have been visiting family and friends in Gisborne and Auckland. It was a relatively quick visit to the East Coast, and I was pretty jet-lagged for most of it, but still got time to see aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. And of course, the traditional eating of yummy FOOD!
Before I report back on everything I've been up to since being home, I wanted to post the pics of some of my favourite spots so far. I've made a point of telling everyone I meet how beautiful New Zealand is, so it's time to show it off. And you'll notice in my pictures that there are NO SHEEP ANYWHERE!!!
Being on holiday here has been fantastic. It's a much calmer pace than London, simpler, quieter, much warmer and a lot of fun. Being back and having a work routine would be a different story, but I'm sure I'll feel like it one day. Until then....
Camping anyone??A piece of serenity - nothing but a river, a composting toilet and the bush
SceneryNow you'll understand why Kiwis love driving
Kite + buggy = fun! There's an art to getting the kite to stay in the right zone to pull the buggy, but man the short turn I had was fun! Here's Tim showing us how it's done
