JordanWe took this picture on our way down to Cathedral Cove. They were setting up to film part of the next Narnia movie here.
Hey everybody
So i hear that it has been snowing a lot at home. Hmm that sucks. No snow here. Although it has rained a lot. Paihia was almost like a monsoon everyday. But we have had sun and been in the ocean for most of our time in Whitianga so it is a nice way to finish our New Zealand adventure. We are off to Cairns, Australia on Thursday morning early, so it will be a lot different than NZ.
We are in a place called Whitianga right now. It is on the Coromandel Peninsula. Our hostel is right across the road from the beach, and we have been bodysurfing atleast once a day for a couple hours. We are both getting decent at it. Some big waves have taken us all the way into shore. We even managed to hit each other and Jen took the brunt of it. We are both kinda cut up cuz neither one of us had rash guards on so my stomach is kinda raw. It hasnt stopped us yet.
The first night we got here, we went to Smittys Pub on the main drag of Whitianga to watch a Super
14 game. Waikato Chiefs against the Wellington Hurricanes. I actually cheered whenever points were scored, since I dont really have a preference. Not to worry though, I didn't wear my Auckland Blues jersey cuz I basically fear for my life when I wear that jersey. Noone in New Zealand likes Auckland. The kiwis are pretty much small town kids. They love the outdoors, and rugby. They seem to hate everything about the big city life. Suits, traffic, stress. Can't say that I blame them. They seem to all have a kinda surfer attitude, about how city life kills the human soul. ( that is a reference from Patrick Swayze in Point Break, which we have watched multiple times while here)
Actually now that I think of it, I am pretty sure one of our blogs was deleted by accident. Unfortunatly, I am not really sure what the blog was, as far as where we were and what pictures were up, so if I figure it out then I will repost the pictures, or you all can wait till I get home to see all the pictures. We have probably close to 500 pictures right now. What can I say,
New Zealand is very photogenic.
Lastly, I would just like to go on and say that although I am gonna hear about the gay bar experience, for the rest of my life, from my homophobic cousins, atleast now I know that no matter what the sexuality, everybody thinks I am as good looking as I know I am.
Cheers All
Jord and Jen
P.S. Glad to hear that Lindsey Walker is doing good in Asia, besides the drag queen events. If you guys wanna know about Southeast Asia, go to Lindsey's blog and read all about it.

Representing Canada ProudJord joined in a game called boat race in a Whitianga pub. Team Magic vs Team KiwiExperience. Do you even need to ask who won? My teacher, Mike Stang, would be proud at how fast I downed that pint!!!
