After a somewhat eventful flight we arrived in New Zealand. First of all a rather drunken couple were on our plane, the man decided to light a cigarette a few minutes before we landed and after I was the one who shouted the air staff, he proceeded to throw it at my leg! Don't worry though as the police were waiting just off the plane and arrested him and his wife immediately whilst I had to fill out a report card. We then expected to easily get our luggage and head forth to the bus and onto our hotel, but no, this was not the case. Whilst waiting at the luggage carousel, we all managed to collect our luggage apart from Matt, whose didn't actually appear. Mum and I frantically went to baggage services where we were told they would ring us once they had his luggage as it had obviously not been put on our flight from Sydney to New Zealand (We changed flights in Sydney from Melbourne). However we were given a travel kit to keep Matt going, some lovely Qantas pyjamas, deodrant, razor etc.

Finally we arrived at our hotel in Auckland which was very very nice and modern! Unfortunately we were on the top floor which meant more lifts were involved which I hate! We went out to a nice pub for tea then back to the apartments. We decided we really liked New Zealand and the people there were lovely.

On our second day we woke up and began preparing ourselves for the sky jump off the sky tower. The nearer we got the taller the tower looked! We were all nervous but pretty excited too! We were given some rather fetching all in one jump suits to wear and I must say, Dad looked by far the best, a bit like the incredibles haha. The scariest part for me was the lift up to the top! Mum volunteered to jump first and after hesitating slightly after the count down, she actually stepped off!! Dad was the most scared by far. It was an amazing experience and after we were all down, we were asked if we wanted to jump again for free! We all immediately said yes apart from Dad who volunteered to stay on the ground and take pictures... haha. We went for a bite to eat and drink in the rotating cafe then to the harbour on a boat ride around. We were allowed off for an exploration on an island with a volcano on and told to return to the boat when the boat sounded its horn. Unfortunately Me and Matt were in the middle of the forest when this happened so had to quickly find our way out before the boat left without us! We had a nice drink and muffin before we got off and had a look around the shops. Thankfully when we returned Matt's bag had arrived at the hotel which meant no need to go clothes shopping for him! Although I am sure he would have loved walking around in his fashionable Qantas pyjamas!! For tea we went to the Indian next door to the hotel which I must admit was different to our British Indians, but nonetheless it was still nice. Even George liked most of it (especially the lamb). After our meal, we went back to our apartment to make sure all of our stuff was packed and ready for our flight to Fiji the next day. 😊

Tower jump
Gra - fancy you not jumping twice!! We really think you should have done it again - it's a good piccie of you though. I must say the tower looks very much like the Euromast in Amsterdam. Glad you got your clothes back ok Matt. Love to all
