Auckland cruise

Harbour while on cruise

My birthday! Left our hotel and got the free bus down to the Pier. Had a croissant (twistie) and then got the 12.30 “360” Discovery Cruise tour. Day was quite overcast but enjoyed cruising the harbour passing the marinas, Bastion Point, Mission Bay, St Hellers and Devonport arriving back into the Quay. Even though the weather wasn't too nice we still enjoyed the cruise and seeing and hearing all about the various points of interest. After we disembarked we made our way to the wonderful Sky Tower. It certainly is a famous landmark and can be seen from many spots around Auckland.

I am a "young" traveller from just outside of Canberra, the capital of Australia and have just recently retired. For the past several years I wanted to do some volunteer work in orphanages in Vietnam and this "dream" came true for me in 2006 and I returned again in 2007 to Vietnam and Thailand.
