Sorry for the delay in writing. I'm now in Los Angeles California. We've enjoyed Auckland and the last few days in New Zealand and then two weeks chilling in Fiji. There's not too much to blog about, but I'll make it short and sweet. The last few days in New Zealand were eventful. Firstly we went to Wellington to see the All Blacks play Ireland at Westpac Stadium. It was awesome and a great experience to see the national rugby team play in the capital. Although the weather was freezing and we got wet through in the uncovered stands! New Zealand unsurprisingly won 21-11.
The next day we went to Taupo for one night before going to Auckland the next day. The date was the 9th of June. I turned 19 on the trip up to Auckland and most of the day was spent of a bus travelling, however once we arrived the night had everything. $10 all you can eat pizza and beer, plus a very special Fear Factor challenge. Being my birthday I felt obigated to enter. The challenge invovled three rounds. The first was to eat Marmite and Weetabix, which I scraped through just. The second was
Chilli sauce, Chillis and hot sauce as well as Wasaby sauce. By this time I wasn't feeling too great but I battled through to round 3. Fish juice, cold mussels and cold squid awaited and I progressed to the final after impressively downing the fish juice. The final was cat food, warm milk with whiskey, I'm proud to say I won, which just to prove if you put your mind to something you can achieve anything! I won $50 cash, $100 bar tab and a free walk around the Auckland sky tower. It was a great night, I will never forget it.
The last two days in New Zealand were spent wandering around the city and taking full advantage of the bar tab. I also did the Sky Walk the next day, which was great to see the whole city.
I really enjoyed New Zealand, and would go so far to say it was probably the country I enjoyed the most. The 3 weeks we spent here were awesome, we packed so much in and had so many fantastic experiences. I feel as though I could go back and still enjoy it, as there was so much we
could still do. The scenery, the people and the adreneline. New Zealand was awesome. Sweet as!!
