After four months of a wonderful summer, droughts throughout the country, as well as huge water bills, we finally saw some rain at the beginning of the week.
It started to rain and forgot to stop, causing many problems throughout the country. Seven young people drowned in a canyoning accident and the funerals are being held everyday for the next seven days. So very very sad.
The rain has now stopped and summer has disappeared and we are now in our winter woollies.
Heaters have been taken out of cupboards and dusted off. It was only 7 degrees in Auckland last night, very cold.
We went out to dinner at the Yacht Club on Thursday night with Graham's golfing buddies and wives. We all had a great time but I have to say the food left a lot to be desired and we have decided to give the Yacht Club a miss for a while or until they improve their cooking skills and presentation of food.
Chelle's Triumph Roadstar is causing Graham a few headaches as it will not start up. It is what you would call a work in progress.
The starter motor doesn't go and Graham can't
get it out of the car so the big guns need to be called in.
Hopefully by the time the next blog goes up the car will be up and running.
Short and sweet this week as we have been housebound with the rain.
Car problemsGraham thought the battery was the problem, alas no!!
EngineSomewhere in here is the problem!
