Arriving at Octopus is like a different world after the indifferent Otto & Fanny's and the nice Manatary, this was luxury. Our bure had a wardrobe, chairs and a large ensuite. We have not paid the extra for a beach bure, so again we were 10 metres from the beach. A choice of 10 meals at dinner (lunch) and evening at more at tea (dinner), a swimming pool, film nights, beautiful beach and more mature guests. The only downfall was the internet access at 4 pounds for 30 mins and only emails allowed. Hence our last blog was late.
There is not a lot to do at Octopus, so Michelle did a lot of sunbathing, Terry did a lot of reading and we both did too much eating.
We again did a village trip, which meant a 20 mins hike over a hlll. The village, though, was similar to what we had seen before and of course the children were lovely. There was the usual craft market where women display their home made wares on a sort of table cloth. Unfortunately, we think most things were made in China. Once again we met lovely people. We had met Anja
from Dusseldorf in Mantaray, but we were to see the full extent of what a nice person she was as we got to know her better (what is it with these Germans that we always get on so well with them?) Then the delightful Dutch doc Desiree and husband Ron, who made Terry's week by talking to him about football. Finally, a whole host of Canadians from British Columbia, who kept us intrigued and amused.
Now to Nadi for Christmas!
SunsetJust thought it was a nice picture!
