Me Nat and a ClamMe Nat and a ClamMe Nat and a Clam

After 2 hours of swimming and spearing...look what we caught...!!!
Hey everyone!!!
How are you all?? Well we have been in Fiji for a week, its amazing!! The flight from LA was long and tedious (for Natalie, as I slept through most of it) and wasnt without its upset from one Red Affro-headed American Woman with a rediculously over-surgically enchanced face!!! She basically informed both me and Natalie that due to our cough, that we had caught, we were indangering the health and safety of all the passengers and although we're 'young and beautiful' we "should wear a mask" - obviously me and Natalie were in stitches of laughter at her instruction and she firmly insisted "No, you wear masks because now i need anti-biotics and will not enjoy my holiday" - she was amazing!! After this 11 hour flight and not much patience i told her, "well i hope you have a awful holiday and get sick" - we have since coined her "mask" expression and use it daily in some context or another!!

Well since that drama we have had nothing but paradise... seriously!! Fiji is amazing, we spend 5 days on a desserted island with about 40 people in our hostel which was on the beach, some days we couldnt even see other people for miles. We were warmly greeted by 'mumma martha' who became our adopted mother for a few days and did everything to help us... we spent the first day chatting to other travellers and getting to know the area and where to go, what to drink, and all the essentials!! And managed to get massively drunk for the first few nights!! (and Natalie pulled!!- tut tut) After all that excitement we had a day spear fishing where we were picked up on a boat and taken to a tiny island that you could walk around in 3 minutes!! Then we snorkeled around the island for 2 hours in some of the best coral in the world... seeing a shark, baracuda, blowfish (which blew up and we both laughed filling our 'masks!!!' with water and ended up coughing in a fit of drowning!! we managed to catch over 30 fish, which they cooked for us, and we ate a raw clam... which was lovely!! Then had the wettest and wildist journey home in the speedboat, where Pipes and I had to wear our 'masks' again!!!! Was fun
Other than that we have been chilling, tanning, drinking, chatting and exploring the island aswell as crab racing (which Piper won), Limbo, Coconut racing (which was interesting!!!), and pick-up the bottle (very strange game!!)

The native people on the island were amazing!! They were so kind and were always saying "bula" (which means hello) about 20 times a day!! One of the girls even came running after Natalie screaming that she'd found a lid for our sunscreen bottle (which we'd lost) which she had been searching for for days!!! It didnt fit of course but Natalie acted as though it did and she ran off happy!! We learned some new card games and tricks (thanx Chris) and spent about 14 hours a day practicing them.... its a hard life!!! Well we just left Mana Island (part of the mamanuca islands) and arrived back at our hostel where we just booked a week cruise though the Yasawa Islands and Robinson Crusoe Island on a 60ft yacht, which was very cheap considering what we get for it!!!!! Planning to do much of the other islands over the next few weeks including one... Beachcomber Island... which is the party island... where we can party for a change!!!

Well gotta go now, internet is cheap but the amount of time we've been online its gonna cost us a fortune!! (or at least a few drinks worth!!) So love to everyone!!

(To everyone at mana island we just met~ its been brilliant and does anyone have Ruth's email address??)
