After La Serena in Chile we hung around in Santiago in an awful hostel just killing time before our flight. Saw some interesting sights, but nothing too exciting. We had a v long flight to Auckland, then hung around in the airport for about 12 hours. Our time was not wasted though, as we had our first fried breakfast in 5 months. It tasted very good, by airport food standards. A 2 hour flight later and we were in Fiji. The town you arrive in, Nadi, is pretty nasty, and the beaches we not great, but we spent 2 nights there getting over the journey and the jet lag. I insisted on waking at 4am for days, God knows why.
